Originally developed as Zenium Frankfurt Two before CyrusOne's acquisition of the Zenium platform, FRA3 stands on Willhelm-Fay-Strasse in Frankfurt-Sossenheim, less than 500 metres from the operator's FRA1 and FRA2 buildings. Two attached four-story buildings hold 11,560 sqm of technical IT space with 22 MW of capacity, fed by active/active dual redundant 110 kV supplies from substations independent of the neighbouring campus. Each data hall gets N+N electrical infrastructure, and cooling is handled by an indirect adiabatic air system that keeps PUE low without high water consumption. The site has run on 100% renewable energy since 2021 and holds ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications for environmental and energy management. Fire protection combines three-stage detection with VESDA sensing and gas suppression. Carrier-neutral with diverse fibre entries, FRA3 serves enterprises and hyperscalers wanting concurrently maintainable wholesale capacity inside Frankfurt's western data center corridor.
