A Kyoto-wheel free-cooling system is the signature of maincubes FRA01, a multi-tenant colocation facility that has operated in Frankfurt since 2017 with a design PUE of 1.3 or lower. The building offers 6 MW of IT capacity and around 45,000 sq ft (roughly 4,200 sqm) of whitespace over three levels, including two 700 sqm IT rooms, and runs exclusively on green electricity with climate-neutral operations. It is a DE-CIX-enabled site, giving tenants direct access to the world's largest internet exchange, and remains carrier-neutral with more than twenty network partners including Colt, Vodafone and Verizon. The compliance portfolio is extensive for a facility of this size: ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, DIN EN 50600 including VK3, SOC 1 and SOC 2 (ISAE 3402), plus EMAS registration and OekoPLUS certification.
