Dual 6 MVA utility feeders and four 2.2 MVA standby generators underpin Equinix DB4, a two-floor IBX facility of 51,322 sq ft at Unit 14 Northwest Business Park in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15. Cabinets can be provisioned at densities from 2 to 9kW, cooled by chilled-water systems with free-cooling economisation and N+1 chiller redundancy (N+3 on CRAH units), while UPS plant runs in a distributed redundant configuration. The site is part of Equinix's Dublin DB campus and connects into Equinix Fabric and the Equinix Internet Exchange, with electricity sourced 100% from wind generation. Security follows the standard IBX model of segregated access zones, 24/7 on-site officers and electronic surveillance, and the facility is certified against ISO 9001, 22301, 27001 and 45001 as well as PCI DSS, SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II.
