EDGNEX Data Centres by DAMAC chose central Bangkok rather than the suburban corridors for its Thai debut, announced in June 2024: a 19,000 sqm multi-storey campus in the Rama 9 central business district, close to the Stock Exchange of Thailand and an established international data center. The project delivers 20 MW in two stages — a first building of 10 MW, scheduled to be operational by 2026, followed by a second 10 MW building. The design is described as Tier III-quality, with concurrent maintainability as the target standard, though no Uptime Institute certification has been published for the site. The downtown location is the core proposition: enterprises, financial firms, and network operators serving Bangkok users get colocation with minimal metro latency, a contrast to hyperscale builds rising in Chonburi and the Eastern Economic Corridor. For DAMAC's digital-infrastructure arm the campus is a strategic entry point into the APAC region, riding Thai demand driven by smart-city programs, big-data analytics, and IoT adoption. Detailed rack counts, density figures, and certifications had not been released as of the announcement.
