STT Bangkok 1 was the vehicle for ST Telemedia Global Data Centres' entry into Thailand: a seven-storey, 30,000 sq m hyperscale facility on a 75,000 sq m (15-rai) plot at Hua Mak in Bangkok, launched on 16 September 2021 as the country's largest data centre at the time. It delivers up to 20 MW of IT load, with the two-building campus designed to scale well beyond that as STT Bangkok 2 comes online. The facility's certification set is unusually complete for the Thai market — Uptime Institute Tier III for both Design Documents and Constructed Facility, TIA-942 Rated 3, LEED Gold v4, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS compliance. Operations are carrier-neutral, with leading Thai and international telecommunications partners providing connectivity. STT Bangkok 1 addresses hyperscale cloud regions, large enterprises and financial-services workloads that previously had few internationally certified options in Bangkok, and it anchors what has become a 46 MW campus development.
