Vantage Data Centers entered the London market with LHR1, a five-acre campus in the PowerGate area of North Acton comprising two multi-storey facilities totalling 430,000 sq ft (about 40,000 sqm) and 55MW of critical IT load at full build-out. Power is anchored by a 110MVA high-voltage substation with 80MVA dedicated to the campus, delivered over multiple diverse feeds, and every system is designed to be 100% concurrently maintainable. Cooling uses a closed-loop chilled water system with air-cooled chillers and integrated economisers, achieving near-zero water usage — a deliberate choice given London's water-stressed grid debate. Average design density is around 300W per sq ft (3.23kW per sqm). Connectivity is carrier-neutral with four diverse points of entry into the campus and two meet-me rooms per building. Vantage pitches LHR1 at wholesale and hyperscale customers taking halls or whole floors, backed by a corporate commitment to net-zero carbon by 2030, and the campus anchors a UK portfolio planned to reach 223MW across three sites.
