Project Vespa is the seed investment of Gaw Capital Partners' pan-Asia IDC platform: a carrier-neutral, Tier III-designed data center planned for a 6,056 sqm greenfield plot that the Hong Kong-based private equity firm acquired in Saigon Hi-Tech Park in June 2022. The site sits about 15 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City's central business district, adjacent to the Hanoi Highway and close to a metro station, inside an established IDC cluster within the park. Plans call for roughly 18,168 sqm of gross floor area and 20 MW of IT capacity, with construction originally targeted for completion by 2024, and Gaw has committed the project to progressive ESG objectives. As a rare institutionally backed, operator-independent development in a market dominated by Vietnamese telecom groups, Vespa is aimed at hyperscalers, cloud providers and international enterprises seeking neutral colocation capacity in southern Vietnam. Detailed specifications — rack counts, densities, cooling design and certifications actually achieved — have not yet been published, and the facility's delivery timing remains unconfirmed.
