STT GDC India's second Chennai campus anchors the operator's push down the city's southern IT corridor: sited in SIPCOT IT Park at Siruseri, it is designed for 45 MW of AI-ready IT capacity, and its 7.2 MW first phase — STT Chennai 7 — was inaugurated in February 2026 by Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister. The build forms part of an INR 4,200 crore investment memorandum with the state government that, together with expansion at the company's 40 MW Ambattur campus across town, unlocks roughly 130 MW of development potential in Chennai. Phase 1 runs on air-cooled chillers in N+1 configuration, draws power from dual utility sources backed by an N+2 diesel generator arrangement, and carries a 99.982 percent availability SLA. Purpose-built for hyperscalers and large enterprises deploying high-density AI infrastructure in South India, the campus benefits from Chennai's position as the principal subsea-cable landing hub on India's east coast, while the Siruseri IT-park setting places it among major technology occupiers and a deep talent pool.
