BKK01 marks the entry of Singapore-based Evolution Data Centres into the Thai market, developed through a joint venture with retail property group Central Pattana PCL. The project sits on the Bang Na-Trat corridor in the Bang Phli area on Bangkok's eastern fringe, a fast-emerging data centre cluster with good fibre routes toward the city core and the Eastern Economic Corridor. Planned as a carrier-neutral, hyperscale-grade facility of 36 MW on a roughly four-hectare plot, the site is being delivered in phases, with full build-out spread over about five years. Evolution positions the development around sustainability, targeting a design PUE below 1.4 — ambitious for Bangkok's hot, humid climate — and emphasising reduced environmental impact across the design. Detailed specifications such as floor area, rack counts and certifications have not yet been published while the facility remains under construction. The capacity and carrier-neutral model point at cloud availability zones and large wholesale deployments as the primary target, with retail colocation likely secondary.
