Ground broke on DayOne's Chonburi Tech Park 1 in March 2025, marking the largest single data-center commitment Thailand had seen to that point: a USD 1 billion hyperscale campus inside the Amata City industrial estate in Chonburi, within the Eastern Economic Corridor southeast of Bangkok. The two-phase development spans roughly 122,000 square meters of floor space and is provisioned with 180 MW of grid capacity, engineered around advanced liquid cooling to handle the rack densities that AI training and high-performance computing demand. The roadmap goes well beyond the initial build: acquisition of 41.3 rai of adjacent land lifts the site's power capacity to 300 MW, and a memorandum with Amata frames CTP1 as the anchor of what the partners intend to become Thailand's first 1 GW power platform, with a future CTP2 to follow. On the energy side, a 42.5 MWp floating-solar plant developed with Amata B.Grimm Renewable Energy is expected online in 2027. The campus is aimed squarely at hyperscalers, cloud platforms, and AI operators needing large contiguous capacity in Thailand.
