Where JHB1 established AirTrunk in Malaysia, JHB2 in Iskandar Puteri is the operator's purpose-built answer to AI densities. Announced in February 2025 and scalable to more than 270 MW across multiple buildings on an 11-hectare site, the campus deploys AirTrunk's state-of-the-art liquid cooling technology to handle high-density GPU workloads, with a published design PUE of 1.37. Power arrives over 275 kV diverse high-voltage feeds, and the site is carrier neutral with multiple network entry paths and international connectivity toward Singapore and regional technology hubs. AirTrunk secured US$2.3 billion in financing for the campus, part of a combined RM 9.7 billion (A$3.5 billion) committed across its first two Johor developments. The customer profile is unambiguous: global public cloud providers and large technology companies deploying AI training and inference at scale, taking whole data halls rather than cages or racks. Detailed certification scopes are stated to be available on request rather than published.
