The Bukit Jalil site is the hyperscale centerpiece of EdgeConneX's near-US$2 billion Malaysia programme: a greenfield build inside MRANTI Park, Kuala Lumpur's technology and innovation district, about 12 km from the operator's planned CBD facility and 16 km from its Cyberjaya campus. EdgeConneX lists 22.4 MW of current capacity with expansion headroom to 67 MW (marketed as nearly 70 MW of IT load), served by a dedicated 132 kV substation and roughly 60,000 sqm of space. Like the operator's other Malaysian builds, the facility uses an N+1 chilled-water cooling system with separate fan-wall and CRAH units and supports densities up to 20 kW per cabinet, positioning it for large cloud and AI deployments rather than retail colocation. Power delivery is concurrently maintainable in at least an N+1 configuration, and the carrier-neutral design provides diverse fibre conduits into multiple meet-me rooms. Compliance targets include SOC 2 Type 2, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001, and EdgeConneX is working with the Malaysian government and utility TNB on renewable supply, with waterless cooling and low PUE among the stated design considerations.
