MEGA Plus was built on the first plot of land the Hong Kong SAR government specifically set aside for high-tier data center development, a one-hectare greenfield site at 299 Wan Po Road in Tseung Kwan O. Completed in 2017 by SUNeVision, the iAdvantage-operated facility delivers about 474,000 square feet (roughly 44,000 square meters) of gross data center space and draws power from an on-premise 132 kV substation, giving it capability for more than 24 MW of IT load with full system and distribution-path redundancy for concurrent maintenance. The purpose-built tower earned LEED Gold certification and sits deliberately away from hazardous industries and flood-prone waterfront, with unrestricted subleasing terms that appeal to wholesale tenants. Adjacent land offers expansion potential of approximately 1.2 million square feet, and the site works alongside SUNeVision's MEGA Campus portfolio, including the newer MEGA IDC development. Its combination of dedicated substation power, greenfield engineering and Tseung Kwan O's cable-landing-station cluster suits cloud platforms, carriers and enterprises seeking high-tier capacity outside the industrial estate.
