Open DC JB1

Housed in Menara MSC Cyberport on Jalan Bukit Meldrum in central Johor Bahru, JB1 anchors Open DC's southern-region operations and trades chiefly on its proximity to Singapore. The building offers around 200,000 sq ft of space with a published 20 MW of power and roughly 2 MW of critical load per floor, cooled by a chilled-water system designed to a PUE of about 1.5. Connectivity is the strongest card: some 15 telecom providers are present, a JBIX node with DE-CIX accreditation operates from the site, and dark fibre runs to the Causeway with DWDM and Metro Ethernet circuits extending into Singapore facilities including Equinix SG1 and Global Switch. That cross-border reach makes JB1 attractive to enterprises seeking a lower-cost Malaysian footprint that still behaves like an extension of the Singapore market. Open DC operates under ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and PCI DSS certifications, with a sister building, JB2, in the same district.
