SUPERNAP Thailand brought the Las Vegas-born SUPERNAP design to Southeast Asia, opening in 2017 as the region's first facility certified Uptime Tier IV Gold. The USD 300 million site sits in the Hemaraj (WHA) Chonburi Industrial Estate 2 near Sriracha, deliberately placed 110 meters above sea level outside Bangkok's flood plain and about 27 km from an international submarine cable landing station. Two dedicated power substations feed the carrier-neutral campus, which is engineered for continuous availability and has room for several thousand cabinets — the operator cites capacity for more than 6,000 racks with support for extreme densities up to 33 kW per cabinet, unusual for an air-cooled Thai facility of its generation. Backers include SUPERNAP International, CPB Equity, Kasikorn Bank, Siam Commercial Bank and True IDC. The combination of fault-tolerant Tier IV infrastructure, high-density support and proximity to subsea cables makes it a fit for banks, government workloads and enterprises that need maximum resilience outside central Bangkok.
