Khazna's second data center at Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, on which the company has broken ground as part of its UAE expansion.

Rather than opening a new location, AUH8 grows an existing one: it is Khazna's second data center at Masdar City, rising beside the operational AUH6 and set to lift the campus's combined IT load from roughly 32 MW to about 62 MW once complete — contractor materials describe it as a 30 MW building. Khazna broke ground in 2025 as part of a dual announcement with AUH4 in Mafraq, the two projects together adding 60 MW in Abu Dhabi. The build follows the same playbook as its siblings: modular design architecture to shorten delivery, adiabatic free cooling for efficiency in desert conditions, and infrastructure specified for AI as well as cloud workloads. Completion has been reported for 2026. Sitting inside Masdar City aligns the project with the district's low-carbon planning rules, and its wholesale capacity blocks are aimed at hyperscalers and large AI deployments rather than retail colocation.
