When Yotta NM1 opened in July 2020, Uptime Institute certification made it Asia's largest Tier IV data center and the second largest in the world. The building offers 820,000 sq ft and 7,200 racks inside Hiranandani Fortune City, a 600-acre township in Panvel, Navi Mumbai, and is the first of five buildings in a park master-planned for 30,000 racks and 250 MW of power. Beyond Tier IV design and construction certification, NM1 holds Uptime's Gold Tier Certification of Operational Sustainability, and Yotta positions it as India's only multi-tenant Tier IV facility. Four redundant, self-owned fiber paths link the campus to national routes, with internet exchanges, CDNs, telcos and cloud on-ramps available on site. Power backup extends to 48 hours, and the design targets aggressive energy efficiency for a tropical climate, with planned captive solar and gas-based co-generation supporting a transition to hybrid power. The facility suits banks, government bodies and enterprises whose workloads justify fault-tolerant infrastructure, as well as hyperscale deployments seeking certified resilience near Mumbai.
