Ground conditions drove the siting of Tokyo 11. NTT built the facility on the Musashino Plateau in western Greater Tokyo, where firm bedrock, distance from active faults and negligible liquefaction risk give a naturally lower seismic exposure than the capital's bayside districts. The three-storey, purpose-built data center supplies 21 MW of critical IT load and around 6,250 square meters of server room space, with dual power feeds delivered to every rack. Structural protection layers a seismic isolation system under the server building, engineered to ride out an event on the scale of the anticipated Nankai Trough earthquake, within a hybrid structure that pairs it with an earthquake-resistant office block. Tokyo 11 forms part of NTT Global Data Centers' extensive Tokyo-region portfolio and connects into the group's domestic and international network backbone. The combination of geological stability, isolation engineering and redundant utility feeds makes it a fit for enterprises and financial institutions whose continuity requirements rule out higher-risk locations, as well as cloud and network operators serving the western side of the Tokyo metropolis.

  • 21 MW critical IT load, dual power feeds per rack
  • Seismic isolation engineered for Nankai Trough-scale events
  • Built on stable Musashino Plateau bedrock
  • About 6,250 sqm of server room space
