Announced in November 2025, this 200 MW datacenter expansion is a joint undertaking by Microsoft and Abu Dhabi's G42, forming part of Microsoft's $15.2 billion investment commitment in the UAE. The capacity is to be delivered through Khazna Data Centers, the G42 infrastructure subsidiary, and equipped with advanced GPU fleets to extend Azure's AI capability in-country, with operations expected to begin before the end of 2026. The emphasis is on sovereign, secure cloud: the partners target the public sector, regulated industries and enterprises that must keep sensitive workloads inside the Emirates while still consuming frontier AI services. Beyond the physical build, the announcement bundles a Global Engineering Development Center in Abu Dhabi, an AI for Good Lab, and a goal of training one million people in the UAE by 2027. As an announced program spread across Khazna-delivered sites, it has no single published address or facility-level specifications yet.
