Macquarie IC3 Super West

IC3 Super West is the build to watch on Macquarie Data Centres' Macquarie Park campus in Sydney's North Zone: a 47 MW sovereign facility aimed at AI, cloud and hyperscale customers, topped out in 2025 with the NSW Treasurer on site and scheduled to open in September 2026. Macquarie says it will be the only data centre adding new AI capacity to Sydney's north zone in 2026, a claim that underlines how tight that submarket has become. The design is deliberately fungible, with data halls tailored for air, direct-to-chip liquid or hybrid cooling so floor space can shift between conventional cloud racks and dense GPU clusters as customer requirements change. Phase one represents an AU$350 million investment delivering the full core and shell with an initial 6 MW of fitted-out IT load, leaving the remainder to be commissioned against demand. As part of an Australian-owned operator's campus alongside IC2 and IC3 East, the facility targets government, defence-adjacent and enterprise AI workloads that need sovereign ownership, certified security practices and room to grow density without relocating.
