FRA7 anchors the FRANKFURT WESTSIDE mixed-use regeneration project in Griesheim, where CyrusOne is turning a former industrial site at Stroofstrasse 49 into an 81 MW campus — with the first 9 MW phase due in Q2 2026. Two separate three-story buildings will offer 25,266 sqm of technical space, powered by a 150 MVA utility supply at 110 kV through a dedicated substation with a redundant grid connection. The headline feature is heat: up to 40 MW of waste heat can be exported to warm the surrounding campus, making this one of Europe's largest data center heat-reuse projects. Cooling uses free-cooling technology with closed-loop water systems to hold down both PUE and WUE. Sustainability commitments include 100% renewable power, a BREEAM "Very Good" target, DGNB Platinum pre-assessment and a Zero Waste to Landfill program, with 5,500 sqm of green space planned. Four diverse fibre routes make it a fit for hyperscale and large enterprise deployments.
