Formerly e-shelter Amsterdam 1, NTT Global Data Centers' Amsterdam 1 campus came online in 2020 on a 40,000 sqm plot at Aviolanda 1 in the Schiphol-Rijk industrial estate, close to Amsterdam Airport. The campus currently delivers 20.7 MW of IT load across more than 7,500 sqm of IT space, with a build-out path to roughly 40 MW and 17,200 sqm as additional buildings complete. As a carrier-neutral operator, NTT provides access to multiple cloud on-ramps, internet exchanges and telecom networks, including its own Tier 1 Global IP Network. Published certifications for the location include ISO 9001, ISO 22301, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and PCI DSS. The phased campus model — discrete buildings added as demand materialises — is aimed squarely at wholesale and hyperscale-adjacent customers that need contiguous capacity reserved in the Amsterdam market, while the Schiphol-Rijk location keeps it within the metro's established fiber corridors. Rack counts and per-rack density figures are not publicly disclosed.
