For electronic trading firms, LD4 is less a building than a marketplace: the Equinix IBX at 2 Buckingham Avenue on the Slough Trading Estate hosts one of Europe's most important financial ecosystems, where exchanges, matching engines, market data vendors and trading firms colocate for microsecond adjacency. The facility spans roughly 145,000 sq ft with about 107,600 sq ft (10,000 sqm) of raised-floor colocation space and access to around 21MW of power. It anchors the wider Equinix Slough campus — LD4, LD5, LD6 and LD10 together exceed 408,000 sq ft — interconnected with the London Docklands IBXs and reachable through Equinix Fabric for private multicloud connectivity. Published certifications include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, PCI DSS, and SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type 2 attestations. Beyond capital markets, LD4 serves enterprises and network operators that want a dense interconnection ecosystem west of London with straightforward expansion across the campus. It remains the reference site in the UK for latency-sensitive financial colocation.
