When ICN10 opened in January 2022 it became South Korea's first carrier-neutral data center, breaking with the domestic model in which telcos controlled both the building and the network. Digital Realty's ten-story facility — branded Digital Seoul 1 — stands at 12 World Cup buk-ro 60-gil in Mapo-gu's Sangam Digital Media City, about four miles from Seoul's central business district, and supports up to 12 MW of critical IT capacity within a 12,263-square-meter building. N+1 redundancy applies to both UPS and cooling, and the facility is marketed for high-density AI and HPC deployments alongside conventional enterprise colocation; Samsung Electronics is a disclosed customer. Certifications cover ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, SOC 2, SOC 3 and PCI-DSS, plus Korea's G-SEED sustainable-building rating. As a carrier-neutral interconnection point in a market long dominated by carrier-owned IDCs, ICN10 suits multinationals entering Korea and Korean enterprises seeking open network choice and a path onto Digital Realty's global PlatformDIGITAL footprint.
