Tier III

Fujairah's position on the Gulf of Oman, outside the Strait of Hormuz, has made it one of the world's densest subsea cable landing points — and e&'s SmartHub campus there, established in 2011, is built directly on that advantage. The carrier-neutral campus sits at the cable landing station serving systems that link the Middle East with Europe, the United States, Asia and Africa, so tenants exchange traffic with minimal or zero backhaul cost and correspondingly low latency. In early 2024 e& added a fourth Tier III facility contributing 1.5 MW of new capacity and lifting the campus total to about 4 MW, sized ahead of two further cable systems expected in 2025. Services cover colocation, hosting, international connectivity, cross-connects and IP transit. The customer base is network-centric — Tier 1 carriers, hyperscalers, CDNs, OTT platforms and ISPs — for whom Fujairah works as a regional traffic gateway and subsea interconnect point rather than a general enterprise colocation market.
